'69 Chevy Camaro SS. Classic American muscle. This is the car I drive in my post-apocalyptic fantasies. I don't think it can be beat for cool-factor or je-ne-sais-quoi or just like I mean hot damn I would have a physical relationship with this car. Tesla Roadster HNNNNNNNN they're ELECTRIC and ELON MUSK OMG and WOW and TESLA MOTORS TOTALLY BROKE INTO A MONOPOLIZED MARKET AND IS TOTALLY KICKING ASS AAAAAA Fully restored mid-60s series II short-wheel-base Land Rover It's so CUTE and doesn't rust because aluminum which is great because we're so close to the sea here there's literally salt water from the spray in the air and I mean if you forget to undercoat ONCE you're dead. And they're kind of like the Lego of cars; my dad has one (1962 series II Land Rover 109) which he built from scratch and I helped. Plus you can go just about anywhere in it if you know what you're doing (I know what I'm doing). I would literally I would do just about anything for one of these. I mean short of murdering my entire family you name it and I'm on it. How about you guys?

Honestly, I've never been much of a fancy car person. I can appreciate that they're nice, of course. My first thought on seeing them was "Ooooh, pretty." But I'm more into decent-looking and practical. Hence my Toyota Corolla.
Not that I wouldn't like a really nice car. I've just never put much thought into what kind I'd get, if I could. I do have to agree with you on that first one, though. If I survive the apocalypse, that's what I want to be driving.
(I have AdBlock on Chrome... I've forgotten what it was like to have ads online. Though proboards guilts me for it every time I come here.)

Ah the Corolla is plenty practical! Decent on gas and yet can transport a fair amount of weight, yeah? Can't blame you. I used to drive a Chevy Blazer, it ate gas like it was going out of style and was so top heavy it frightened my passengers on sharp turns but I loved it.
Ha can you imagine though! Me and you driving around Mad-Max style wrecking motorcycle thugs and finding random useful stuff...raid a pharmacy for the antibiotics, start a veggie garden and a meat farm...going on rides in the Cammy when times were tough. Ahh.

Yeah, and it helps that it was affordable and I got zero percent interest. I drove my parents' Pontiac Vibe before I got the Corolla, and honestly, if I ever had a dream car, that Vibe was it. So, so responsive to every move I made. Just lovely. And it was bright red, so that was fun. Haha. We would be an awesome post-apocalypse team. I mean, honestly, who better to hang out with than another writer? We've got the imaginations to make anything work.

Nice Yeah responsive is great. Except when I killed my Blazer and started driving my mom's Mini, the difference in play in the steering was such that I was afraid I'd sneeze and go off the road Yeah we'd be the ones setting up the infrastructure for the next world

Haha, yeah, I've experienced that transition. I learned to drive in a minivan. Not the most responsive steering on that thing. (Though it did get me out of parallel parking on my driver's test. That might also have been due to the fact that it was a snow day, though.)
We would create an awesome new world. Complete utopia.

@#!*% ! That roadster! I can see how they broke into the market! Personally, my hot rod is a Maserati MC12. Beautiful car, $300,000. I WANT IT SOOOOO BADLY!!! Then again, there are only 12 of them in the world... Much more likely since it's around $20,000 but still a beautiful car, with REALLY loud speakers, is the Nissan Fairlady Z. My cousin has one, and it's purple. Yep. Purple. And Finally, I want a Motorcycle. Probably this one. I can't decide.

Motorcycles are so tempting, yet so terrifying. I'd love to drive one, but then my common sense goes Oh, no you don't! Heh.
That Maserati looks like something out of Star Wars. Very sci-fi.

With you on motorcycles. I have a couple friends who have them and the consensus is that if you own one for long enough, you WILL eventually crash. They're super fun to ride, though. Seriously way freer than even a convertible or something. I think it has to do with how obvious it is that you're sitting on a machine in an environment. And how you have to use your actual body to help steer instead of the slightly video-gamish steering wheel / pedals / gearshift. (But yeah, first serious time on a bike: I crashed. Luckily the damage to the bike wasn't too bad but I got a concussion and my knee/knuckles are still all scarred) Oh and! www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYKMpFniE2MMy dad's friend has driven one of these. Got it up to about 300kmh. Said it felt like he was flying. Haha so if I was rich enough for a fast car I'd hope I would be rich enough to put down some track for it

Lucky!!!!!! The Veyron is in my top 5 cars, but I still love the MC12. Also, I haven't been able to learn how to use a motorcycle, but that's okay. I'll be able to figure it out. ... Or my dad could teach me. That would be a little bit better, wouldn't it?
