Snow!!!

Lucia I am so jealous
For the past month or so the weather has been uncertain whether it wants to be spring or winter. For example yesterday it was 7 degrees and sunny, and today it snowed.

Maybe it's a writer thing to enjoy dark-ish, wet-ish weather.


It snowed fairly hard for hours last week, but it rained all day the next day, so... No more snow.
We did have a cat visit our house for a couple of hours during the snow, though. My campus houses a bunch of former show cats. They all have their territories, and they get fed and have litter boxes and get to the vet and such. This particular cat likes to hang out in the yard behind my house (seniors have the awesome option of living in townhouses on campus), and she comes in once in a while. We usually bribe her back out with food right away, because I'm allergic and we have mousetraps all over that we don't want her to get caught in, but with the snow I didn't have the heart to kick her out. She hung out with me for a while. I felt so guilty when I had to put her out because I was leaving. She gave me this horribly betrayed look.

Ugh snow! I'd be happy to give all our snow away! Our winter began at a relatively normal time in October, but even so, March is almost over yet it keeps on snowing. When will this winter of ours end?!

Anyways, I suppose it's because I was born in May but spring just happens to be my favorite season. It's not too cold and it's not too hot either, not to mention it also rains a lot. I like the rain and I find it kind of soothing.

I am working on a poem about peoples feelings in the rain. It might even turn into a collection of different poems.

Honestly, it feels strange to me not having snow for Easter... When I was growing up, we almost always had a white Easter. And then I changed climates.

Winter is easily my favorite season. I'd rather be cold than hot, because cold you can warm up from with blankets and hot chocolate. And it just feels invigorating, you know?
Spring is nice, though. I'm usually ready for spring after a few months of winter.
