Hi, everyone. I know I haven't been on for a while, but have a prayer request: for those who believe if you could say a prayer for my dad. [Daniel Strauss] He's in the hospital. He has Crohn's disease and a severe abcess that's been running him down for 6months now. It suddenly turned worse and he started talking about death. He's been admitted, but I'm worried for him. Prayers of strength and healing would be appreciated.  |

Thanks everyone! Sorry I haven't logged on in a while. He was in the local hospital for ten days, was home for week, but was sent to hospital in Buffalo because of a blood clot in the leg. He had to have surgery and he can't walk on the right leg now--and probably won't be able to for a while. We're hoping he'll be home by Monday. Things seem to be looking up. Hopefully there's not more set-backs.

Hello, everyone. Just wanted to state that my dad's been doing better. He only has one kidney, unfortunately. Not sure how the other one died, but it did. His kidney function is okay, I guess, but it'd be nice to see his numbers up higher (they're in the 30s. With one kidney he should be in the 50s) He'll be starting Humira soon and hopefully that closes the fistula. This years been hell.  |
