Well, I won't stand for it. This forum was founded five years ago and now it's just...empty? No. No. This simply will not do.

Now I understand that life gets in the way. I think perhaps it should. But I'm going to ask a favor of you all. It's Christmas break. This is probably the least-busy you people are going to be for several months. Let's at least try to bring this thing back, alright?

I think we're probably going to cancel the contest at this point, unless we get another entry before check-in three, but the point of that board is for you to be posting your progress.

I guess that's the great thing about forums...even when they 'die' they're not 100% dead. With permission I'm going to start advertising a little...I think even just seeing that we're trying will strike a chord with guests.

I took a writing class this semester and it was fantastic in every conceivable way...among other things I also got several super-short stories that I can post and perhaps expand upon. (We had to write 300 words a week)
And I'm pumped for this contest You know when you read something like that and you already start getting ideas?

Yes! Writing classes are the best. I will never regret my decision to major in writing in college. So worth it, even if it has been impossible finding a job.

Better move fast for that contest! Message me the album you want to use and I'll get a board set up for you.

Haha I picked the exact wrong time to jump into this as I will be away from my own computer for two weeks, but I can do it! I'm sending my drafts to myself through email

Well, my boss told me that he would hire me without a second thought, but there are actually only two paid positions at the magazine and neither of them was open. I still volunteer, but it's not a paid job.

As long as you're back in time for check-in three, it shouldn't be a problem. Or if you won't be, let me know and I'll see about extending that deadline.
