I've been searching every nook and cranny of the internet for a good story generator. I have characters and a setting, but I'm trying to come up with a unique short story premise. There are loads of random generators out there, but I can't find one where it lets you plug the characters in to get the story.

It's not a generator, but something I've found really helps with ideas is the Monomyth. Because it's such a time-honored process, your brain just kind of jumps ahead to what would make sense for the next part of your story. WOrth a try.

So you have the characters, but no story for them?
Honestly, I'd ditch generators in that case. Get into those characters - know everything about them, and what they're doing now. Then think about what conflict makes sense for them, and you have your story. It might change over time, as you write them and get to know them even better, but that's what writing tends to do anyway. Building a story and then sticking your characters into it might turn out fine, but it could also end up feeling awkward, like they don't really belong in that story. Does that make sense?
(Also, I agree with Zoom - the monomyth is an excellent model. I use it all the time.)
