Mine is getting to the point where I just have to clean it, but I realized that desks are where stuff from your life tends to congeal. Here we go: - Two mugs that used to hold coffee - Disassembled speaker (lost momentum halfway through fixing the wiring) - A screwdriver, pliers, and screws (because of the speaker) - Bobbypins and hair elastics - A block of wood (for painting) - Black gouache and yellow soft body acrylic paints - Birth control + meds - Stylus for my tablet - Bulldog clip - Glue stick - A sharpie - My ID from high school - Crochet hook - Some Qtips - A calculator - Makeshift trash can (empty kleenex box) - Half an onion - Small safety pin - My monitor, keyboard, and mouse Time to clean! How about you guys? Good time to deal with some clutter

Half an onion!?!? That sounds like my Grandfather. He eats those like apples. Skin and all... I actually cleaned mine just recently, so it isn't too bad. Not counting computer stuff like mouse, keyboard, monitor, and speakers: -my cell phone -a notepad -an airsoft caution paper -a cup (yellow) -a pen -a math assignment sheet from the end of the year -my EPIC headphones and their case (ATH-M50s if you wanted to know... ) -my modem and router -the zipper case for my cds -earbuds (two pair) my desk is rather large, so I can put stuff on it and not get it too cluttered to quickly.

I don't have a desk. I'm sitting on my bed right now. My room is a whirlwind of half-packed chaos, though, since I've been in an "I'm going to move soon" state pretty much since the second I got back. I could tell you what's on my bedside table, though. - alarm clock that I haven't used for years - blue lamp with a white shade - six books, three of them half-read - water bottle, blue - various old greeting cards, pay stubs, receipts - half-empty bag of cat treats that my cat refuses to eat - rubber band - note with the phone number to call for a "Forks Twilight Greeting Package" (I have no idea if this is real, or why I still have it. It was given to me by a customer at work.) - various expired coupons that I should really throw out - sample "The Elendel Daily" newspaper from a Brandon Sanderson signing (Mistborn universe) - iPod charging cord and armband holder - chap stick and Burt's Bees lipgloss - two black Moleskine pocket-sized notebooks, empty - phone charger ...I think that's it.

Ha, I eat them a layer at a time, and not the skin It's something I started when I was a kid and now they're my favorite fruit (veggie??) Which kind of sucks because they make me smelly. I'm literally there in the kitchen thinking, okay, I don't work till 3pm tomorrow, so if I only eat half and then brush my teeth, I should be good. Oh how are those headphones by the way? I've realized it's time for me to get some decent ones, and my friend swears by Sennheiser, but they're out of my price range and I don't need 500-dollar headphones anyway. Good grief Saph you fit all that on a nightstand?? I can just imagine the teetering Man you have to call that number! Maybe you've been drafted into a secret service!!!

I like onions, too, though only with other foods. But hey, at least they're healthy! Heh, I'm good at stacking. Most of the paper-type stuff (including the books) are in piles. Oh, and my glasses in their case are on top of one of the book stacks. Forgot those. And I'm pretty sure my old iPod is buried in there somewhere, too. I feel like I should call the number, if only to find out what exactly it is, but I hate talking on the phone. Kind of a problem for someone who works in a call center, but there you have it.

I'm not using a desk, my laptop is on my bed. Other than my laptop, there's me, my cat, two pillows and four blankets.

Ah, I miss the days of having a cat on my bed. My cat used to snuggle right up against me no matter what position I was in. When I was lying on my stomach, she would fall asleep on my back. Even in summer, when it was absolutely sweltering in my room (no air conditioning), she was never far away.

She got hit by a car almost five years ago. I kind of can't believe it's been that long.

Thanks. I'm mostly okay about it now. I still miss her, of course, and I'll probably never have another cat like her, but she knew I loved her. I want another pet, definitely. I have my parents' cat for now, until I move out again, but I do want one of my own. Sadly, I am horribly allergic to cats and developing allergies to dogs. I take allergy meds and I'm okay with the my parents' cat, but I don't know if I could handle having one in a small apartment yet. I'm thinking I'll probably get allergy shots eventually, so that I can have a cat again, but I have no idea how expensive they are. (Although I might be getting over the allergy on my own - apparently that happens sometimes. I'm not having symptoms nearly as often or as bad as I did last summer.) I also really want a big dog - preferably a German Shepherd. Though that will have to wait until I have time to train a puppy and take it on walks and such.

You should get a bird. Like a cockatiel - a lot of them like to hang out with you if you're sitting there. I used to have a cockatiel... he liked to sit on my head. And I don't think people can be allergic to them. Not that I'd know.

I've considered getting a bird, actually. I know nothing about taking care of them, but I'd learn. I just have to have my own place, first, which might take a while.

parakeets are cool, too. They're a lot less expensive than cockatiels.
