Has anyone seen this? www.reddit.com/r/writingpromptsA lot of the ideas aren't any good, but here and there's an awesome one. I've been scrolling the "new posts" page every day and after a few days of that I have three pages of writing prompts. You know what would be cool? We should have a board for writing prompts.... |

Yeah, the problem with the site I've been using is even though there are a lot of good ones, you have to search through a load of lame ones to find the good ones...

It would be cool to do it like they have on reddit where you post a prompt as the subject of a thread, then people reply with stories.

Maybe I can figure out a place for a sub-board so we could do that kind of thing, too. Maybe in the Help & Tips board?
We could also post the stories inspired by the prompts in the regular boards and post a note on the prompt saying that it's being written... Less clutter, easier for two people to write to one prompt without crossing over each other.
What do you guys think - would you prefer to post any inspired stories on the same thread as the prompt that inspired you, or would it be easier to just post it as another story/poem/etc?
(Also, I am shifting this discussion up to the Suggestions board. Seems to fit better there.)

Help and Tips, great idea! And yeah, I agree with the note/normal board posting thing. We can still see the different stories that have been posted, we just have to read them in different tabs. They'll get more attention in the proper boards too.

These sound awesome! The prompt thing would be really great, and I think posting it as a normal story with a footnote saying it's from a writing prompt would work better.
