So I'm not having any luck finding a job writing, and I'm exploring other options at this point. I took a personality test here, and apparently my personality type is only 1% of the population.  I'm INFJ, which is Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging. The title given to my particular personality? Author. Heh. I got a whopping 94% on the introverted side of the introversion/extroversion scale. I answered one question out of 17 on the extroverted side. My other traits were closer to the middle. Anyone else taken a personality test like that? (If you haven't, you should - it's pretty interesting, and this one I took seems pretty accurate. At least, it describes me well.) |

ENFP here checking in
I dunno though, I read the Portrait of an ENFP page and freaked out a little because, yeah, this is me. But then I got suspicious and read the ISTP page and about half of what was there matched me. Then I read the INFJ because I figured it was the least likely for me to have, since only 1% of the population has it, and still at least a quarter matched me really well.
And maybe that's evidence in itself that the Myers-Briggs is pretty accurate - ENFP matched me the best.

There is a lot of overlap between personalities - but that makes sense, because no one is just one thing or the other. I took a personality test in high school that was a lot more detailed. I should see if I still have that. I remember thinking it was scarily accurate at the time.

I tried it and I got INFP. Apparently I'm "idealistic, self-sacrificing, and somewhat cool or reserved; very family and home oriented, with a high capacity for caring and a high sense of honor derived from internal values." Some of that is news to me... Apparently that's 1%, too. But the thing is, I was only F and P by 2% each... so I was almost INTJ (or INFJ or INTP). What's funny is that all 4 of the things I was/almost was all say they're 1% of the population.  |
