From what I have seen of this forum, this forum is amazing.
I'm a published author. My real name is Elizabeth. I'd rather not share what my pen name is, though, because I joined this forum to have fun.
I've gotten jaded a little by the industry. I still enjoy writing, but there is so much pressure, pressure, pressure, that sometimes I just want to get away from those people and all their talks about what makes money and what doesn't and just write for fun for once. This forum seems like it will give me a lot of fun.
And it will allow me to be myself. Unfortunately, I can't be myself when posting things under my pen name because I have to constantly think about making my readers happy and making sure I never post anything that upsets any of them.
So I just want to have a place (here) where I can just write whatever (even if it's not perfect or not what the marketplace wants or whatever) and just be me. Where I can write fan-fiction sometimes and poetry and other things that I will never get published. Where I can just share things and be around some positive people. And where I am not surrounded by so much pressure.
