Yes! Yes, yes, yes! That is my favorite book ever. I got him to sign it. ;D (I literally had a bruise on my wrist from carrying it for so long while I was waiting in line. Worth it.) I am SO EXCITED for the sequel! It's supposed to come out in 2014.

My library has it on order, and I'm sixth to request It!!!!! SOOOOO PUMPED!!!! It's called Words of Radiance. It already sounds amazing. Is this just me, or are there more people out there, doing this whenever they go over to a friend's house? xkcd.com/1267/

I'm not even bothering with the library. I'm just going to go buy it. ... I tend to be the one with the mostly-neat room, apologizing for my minimal mess. My roommates in college were always shocked that I made my bed every day.

That's actually who I aim to be, but I can never get around to it...
Possibly a combination of LNRS and procrastination. ;D

Long-ingrained habits. My parents were very good about enforcing neatness when I was little. It stuck. (In me, anyway. Not as much in my brother.)

I keep the living space clean out of respect for my roommate, but my room itself is a complete mess. I mean I have to jump to get from my bed to the door. I'm dealing with it when I get home. But yeah really I am so glad my parents actually made me do stuff like laundry and washing dishes...I know a guy who doesn't know the difference between garbage and recycling because his mom just dealt with everything.

I wish you'd been my roommate some years in college, Zoom. It's amazing how many people have no respect for others and just trash common living space. My sophomore year, I ended up cleaning our shared kitchen, even though I never used it, just because it was disgusting.

Yeah it's like they don't care or even really notice how filthy it is. I got pretty lucky with my roommate, but I've definitely been in some dorms/apartments without a single inch of floor.

I moved into a single dorm the next year. Still had to share a kitchen and bathroom with people, but at least my room was clean. I just don't understand how people can cook in a kitchen that is scuzzy with mold. Pretty sure the only reason we didn't have cockroaches is because I cleaned up after them.

I would hate any kitchen with mold or anything like that. However, I have a god- brother who has eats mold as a regular thing, so... *shrugs*
